Quoted message said:Okay... so I go to the gym regularly. Whether it's my cardo or weight
training days, I sometimes only get to swim for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Is that a beneficial amount of swim-time? Should I be swimming longer?
How many minutes of consistent lap swimming is required to become
useful for endurance or other training?
Just curious.
What kind of endurance you are talking about? Do you want to swim 800m
or 3000m? Whatever the distance, how long do you define an endurance
swim?
Of course, it depends on what you do with the weights but weights and
cardio, one after another is not such a good idea.
One more point, your endurance(!!) gained from swimming will not be of
such a great help for running or biking or such. Swimming depends very
heavily on technique.
HTH.
