i just set up my new treadmill and had my first workout today. because of unsymatry of my running, the belt shift to left side and touch the belt guide, making some noise. i tried to move it back to center, unsuccessfully.

Check the manual that came with it. Should be directions for how to center the belt. Or check the Support link at the web site for the manufacturer. If you didn't get a manual, there should be one for download at the web site.
