Unfortunately no they don't.

I work long hours and have a 30 mile journey home, by the time I can get out on the bike it's
gone 7pm. Living in East London, I feel the roads are too dangerous in the dark when it is wet or
icy. If it's dry and dark I have no problem, I have good lights, mudguards and wet weather gear
and can cope. All through the 2002/2003 Winter I still managed 200 miles per week on the
road...that ain't bad.

Here's hoping you don't live in a built up congested area, where some peoples driving skills leave a
lot to be desired in broad daylight let alone the dark.

I do live in such an area, and work long hours, and I ride daily to work, winter and summer,
with dynamo-equipped bikes - mostly these days on a 'bent, but I guess that's common knowledge
around here :-)

Only 15 miles round trip, tough, which is less of a problem than 60 miles RT. But then, I changed
jobs to give me a more sensible commute. I used to drive 135 miles every day.

That's cool, wish I could do that :-) I used to work 5 miles from home and cycled every day (7).
Then I got promoted and moved, sort of :-)......:-(
