Unibet.com, successor of the Belgian MrBookMaker.com-Sportstech team, of which Hilaire Van Der Schueren is team manager, has achieved an extraordinary transfer over the weekend: Australian rider Baden Cooke has decided to change French Francaise des Jeux for a smaller Belgian team.

I'm not sure I understand why he'd leave a Pro Tour team? No Tour de France for him in '06, but then maybe the pressure was too much. Personally, I'd rather be on a team that didn't do the Tour as well, then I could concentrate on all the great races available, instead of treating them as tune-ups for the monster in France.
