I do this every year. I'm out there for work and get a day
or two to play. I've done the DH stuff, and I don't have an
interest in that anymore. I can handle the altitude
adjustment. I did the Kokopelli one day after landing. No
breathing problems.

You should do the comando run then. Remember to prevent
H.A.F.E. use Deet. Bring a needle for you pericardial
tamponade. (sp)

Yeah, if I got shuttled up the Dewey climb, I'd have no
breathing problems either. You didn't do the Kokopelli if
you didn't ride the whole route.

Aw, I don't take it to heart. He's done that a lot to other
people. I actually find it quite amusing. I really would
like to ride with him one day. He knows some out of the way
trails and is a very good rider. Might even be able to teach
me a few things. From what others have told me, this is just
his Internet persona.

would like to ride with him one day. He knows some out of
the way trails and is a very good rider. Might even be

So why the facade?

There was a time when JD would actually email Webtv users
asking them not to forsake posting even though they were
being belittled by some regulars for improper nettiquet and
posting via Webtv. I was one of those who was emailed on
several occasions asking me to stay and "join him" (he was
on webtv at the time). Now he does a complete 180 and it's
all in the name of having an "internet personna". It's
getting as old and repetitive as Mike V's ramblings.

Well nobody is perfect and neither you nor him are on WebTV,
so why not end the bitterness. I learned long ago that some
battles are just not winnable, expecially on the Internet.
This is a faceless and personalityless mode of conversation.
Anyone can be whomever they want to be and you have no
control over it. Why not just go with the flow and
occassionally learn a thing or two. Just throw out the
retoric you don't like.

I am not saying I agree with the way JD acts, but there is
nothing you can do about so life goes on.
