Hi, Can anyone recommend a source for a food quality non leather walking shoe <not boot> suitable
for fairly easy terrain? We have looked at Vegetarian Shoes and Ethical Wares but it is not easy to
tell what would be good from looking at pictures. Thanks, Lynne and Jeff

serious offroad tend to be plastic top to bottom and there are numerous flavours available which are
quite up to rough stuff. If it's chilly add socks, if it's damp too make them waterproof socks
(e.g., Sealskinz).Another obvious alternative would be approach shoes without leather, and there are various available
(I think some of the Salomon X-Mountain range are leather free), or just use training shoes. There
are quite a few about now with a decent off-road sole unit.Pete.

Thanks! The approach shoes sound good but where can they be obtained? Our walking shops in Newcastle
could not help. At least the ones we tried! Thanks--
