  4. It goes in waves, from what I see. But yep, there's a lot of trash blowing around the newsgroups for
    the last while.

  5. THAT is what I miss with email spam vs junk mail. Sometimes, when I'm in the mood, I'll go through
junk mail, open it, and sort out the postage free envelopes from the offers and restuff envelopes
with offers I'm sure would interest them. Recycling is great + it gives the post office more
business and at first class rates rather than the bulk rates used to get the stuff to me. <g>

Unfortunately, spammers usually use spoofed addresses. What amazes me most is that most of it, if
you really WANTED whatever they are hawking, there is no way to contact them to get it, no website,
no valid email address, nothing. Makes me think most is really from foreign governments trying to
disrupt Internet commerce. If that isn't it, they must be a crowd of knuckle-draggers...

  7. What a great use for junk mail! I've sent postage free offers back saying I wasn't interested, but
the idea of recycling by sending someone elses junk is resourceful. I get the sense there are a lot
of "knucle-draggers" out there, considering some of the [censored] they're hawking.
