VN Tour Guide, Got Yours Yet?

August covered with grudging approval stamps and boot marks from the
inspectors.
I looked into getting the usual ProCycling and CycleSport versions, but
ProCycling would like very much for me to call an overseas number (spend
$20 to chatter about buying a $7 magazine, I betcha.) There was a
supplement with the latest ProCycling, but it is not the full tour
guide. WCP I'll probably tackle today.

Agreed about VeloNews - shouldn't it have come in the mail before in the
stores? Bit irritating really...maybe it'll arrive today - glad to know
I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten it yet

Yeah, I'm kind of steamed about not getting mine yet. It'd be a shame to
receive it after the tour started, when there's all this prep time to obsess
about it! Ugh...

Point taken. But doesn't that beg the question of the value of having a
subscription? You pay less overall to receive your magazine two weeks after
it arrives -- not in just bike shops -- but the local borders/barnes and
noble. If it's printed and they want to give the bike shops a week advantage
that's one thing, but being so late when the pieces have already been
printed, folded, collated, and trimmed with a partial shipment sent-- right
before the biggest race of the year-- seems negligent at best and
inconsiderate of the customer at worst.

I don't disagree with you but was merely refuting the post that claimed
the guides were distributed on the 18th.

July Cycle Sport just in at Borders in Seaside, CA. Big ol' stack of
them, 236 pages of stuff. Has TdF stage by stage, briefly with kinda
weak maps and profiles. They had the VN Tour Guide, too. I sure hope
mine's in the box when I get home
