Was blowing hard in Southampton as I rode home from a friend's party at
about 1.30am. I've rarely heard wind like that (at the top of the hill in
Bitterne) -- possibly beacuse there was very little other noise at that
time -- just a constant roaring wind through the trees. It was a great
christening for my new Lumicycles.

I found it quite hard to stay upright on the more exposed sections of
the ride home last night, for sure.

I used gears on my ride home last night that I haven't used for
months.

Fortunately, the motorists seemed to be leaving me a bit more wobble
room than usual.

Gears? Gears? I have now become a master at sprinting in a hunched over
aerodynamic position as 72" fixer is not a good call when trying to ride
up a hill into a headwind! ;-)
