  2. You've totally given up chocolate, muffins, doughnuts,
french fries, sugar, hot chocolate, red meat, pork, all
    juices, etc.????

Wow, I have to say I am impressed at your willpower. I
probably won't lose as quickly as you will, but I would
never last a week that way. How long have you done this? And
    what DO you eat?

  4. the chocalate it has been so long since i have had a real chocalate bar that
i can't rememeber how long and the donuts and stuff i am working on now. I
have not had any of that stuff in about a week or it will be a week on this
sunday. i have to do it because everytime i eat that stuff i feel sick. and
i don't want to feel that way. i eat only low fat muffins now and most of
them are what i make at home. trust me it isnt easy because i work at tim
hortons. and the same with red meat i can't eat it because i get real bad
heart burn when i do and the same with pork. i have to be careful with what
i eat because my body doesn't lke certian foods.

I used to eat all those things too... Now I hardly eat any
of them! I have an occasional small nibble of chocolate,
rather than half a one pound bar! Muffins no longer look so
tasty... Nor do most sweet things! Chips/fries are down to
once or twice a fortnight, and then I do low fat oven chips!
I never did use much sugar: I do sprinkle a tiddly bit on my
wheetabix. I haven't eaten much red meat in the last 18
months - partly to do with the gall bladder. Pork I still
eat occasionally. Has to be VERY LEAN. Fruit juice was
another thing that set off the gall bladder, so I don't
drink much of that these days either.

I do eat lots of interesting and tasty things, but i no
longer look to the cookie jar for nibbles; I'm more
likely to raid the vegetables in the fridge, or gobble
    the fruit basket!

  8. i don't even have a taste of french fries or chips or even
chocalate. because i know that if i have just one taste then
i will want to have more then that. And i only make my own
muffins at home or eat only low fat ones when i am out. i
feel that if i don't do this the right way then there is no
sence in doing it at all. you have to want to do this fully
and completly or there is no sence in trying to lose weight
and that is what i have heard from so many people and i
    believe that it is true.

The thing with me is that I need to be able to have those
treats if I want them: that way they don't bother me or nag
at me. If I have to deny myself things all the time, the
reek of burning martyr gets a bit thick!

  10. thats true. but different things work for different people.
This is what works best for me. plus usually when i eat
those i don't feel good afterward. my stomach is very picky.
And it gets up set with me if i feed it something too greasy
or thats junky. which i guess is a good thing

Well put. My "substance abuse issue" is cookies, so I limit
myself to one bag per month. I look forward to the 1st, and
they're usually gone by the 3rd, but now I'm in control of
the cookies, rather than the other way around
    :-).
