Good choice, there's some great apps for the Iphone. It beats the Blackberry for apps.

Yeah, I've already put quite a few on it.

The only thing I don't like about it is I have extra steps to do in order to put my custom ring tones on it, with my earlier phones all I had to do was put them in a folder and point the ring tone I want to use to that folder.

It seems like Apple likes to make some things a bit more difficult for us advanced users who know what we're doing... 🙄

On a positive note though, I do like how it can use a wi-fi network such as my home wireless network instead of the 3G, that way getting data through wi-fi doesn't count towards my data allowance (only counts when data transfers through cell network).

That's awesome! Any of the newer smartphones are good. I always wanted the iphone but was with verizon. I have the droid X an i love love love it. The iphone is an amazing device an i am certain you will like it. I dislike when people say, go iphone cuz android sucks or go android cuz the iphone sucks. Both great phones, each having plenty to offer anyone who wants the most out of their smartphone. My advice is watch as many youtube videos as you can. You will learn so much about what your phone can really do. Congrats on the new device!

BUT once you have a phone that can do everything.....its hard to think of it as "just" a phone

come on! a camera, email, internet, etc....they're not just phones anymore. My old motorola 'slim' brick...now that was a phone!! awesome phone btw.
