I'm a noob to road biking, I've taken more than a few mountian biking trails but I just recently got a road bike and started logging some real miles. I have a mid 90's bianchi boardwalk. Its a steel frame and weighs in at about 29lbs. Im curious what that average rider/racer rides and how much it weighs and if I should be looking for something more competitive?
I ride a 2004 LeMond Tourmalet and I have no idea as to what it weighs. I do know that I love riding it and have no plans on getting rid of it any time soon.
my around town bike/commuter is a '99 Trek 1200, shimano rx100/600 groupo. Aluminum frame, steel fork. Probably weighs in the neighborhood of 20-22lbs.
my riding bike is an '06 Fuji Roubaix RC, ultegra groupo, weighs somewhere around 17-18lbs.
In the process of buliding up a Nishiki Olympic fixie, frame alone weighs 23lbs (!)
