Musgovian is from the name of a Russian region which includes or is
Moscow. However, it does seem to be that the current cute food usage
is for items that "must-go."

It was in a message about "Musgovian Tapas" where I looked in the
refrigerator and said, "This mus' go and that mus' go". From there a
discussion followed where we created the history of an ancient tribe, the
Musgovians, who roamed the world carrying food in their larders and not
wasting any leftovers.

Obviously, this tribe isn't anywhere in my ancestral history. :-) (yes I
read where it is a fictional tribe) I really need to do better in that

I have to say, I remember the first time the Musgovian phrase was used and I
do believe it was Mr. Pete. I laughed and laughed. Who knew it would
actually be coined a "real" phrase? He had the funniest fake story about
how it was actually started. Pete's a hoot.
