How many cogs are on the cassette?

I picked it up a few days ago, and now sometimes when I
change from the second front cog to the big one, the chain
seems to lock up, and I can't pedal.
...hmm, yes that sounds likes a front mech problem to
me, but definitely could be related to the new chain
and cassette.

Is this what chain suck is ???
Typical chain suck is when your chain will not release from
the bottom of your front chain ring. This causes the chain
to wrap around and get stuck.

Should I return it to the bike shop that did the service,
or should I wait for a while and maybe the new chain and
cassette will blend in together ?
No, here's the solution that has been tried and true.
Remove all but 1 cog from your rear cassette.
Use only 1 front chain ring.
Remove derailleurs.
Voila/Eureka!
SS baby.
