Hello,
I just bought a Gary Fisher Cronus Ultimate with Ultegra today and I got everything except the wheels. In the next week or two I'm gonna buy a wheelset for the bike but I really have no idea what to get. I get a 20% discount on the wheels if I buy them from the shop. So, preferably, I would like to get something from Bontrager, Mavic, SRAM, HED, or Zipp. I have a limit of $1000, and I'm thinking of getting something that serves as both a training and race wheelset, preferably aluminum.Or, should I just use the stock wheels on one of my old bikes for training, and get something fancier for racing?
So far I'm thinking of Bontrager RXL, Ksyrium Elite or SL, or Zipp 101.
I'm also considering getting Easton EA90's off of ebay but then I would forgo the discount and service. Or maybe a less expensive wheelset like RoL, or Neuvation? I really don't have a lot of knowledge about wheels since the only wheels I've ever ridden on were the stock ones on my low level Fuji and Trek. So any advice, suggestions, are welcome.
If any of you are curious the bike looks kinda like this:

All of my teammates have the RXL's but I chose to build the bike from scratch.
So the bike looks something like the picture above.
Minus the wheels. Except with Ultegra. And also not put together.
