Where to buy straight-pull spokes?

Most decent bike shops carry a selection of straight pull spokes for
the inevitable broken one on these and other wheels...What length?

Yeah, well, define "competent." I called the local shops looking for a Zero
Stack headset. Only 1 dealer even knew what I was talking about, and it
*wasn't* the Giant dealer.

That was the first place I checked. No straight pulls, but lots of other
tasty bits!

Yah, and unless you want CX-Rays WITHOUT nipples, ya gotta call them.
But then you get to talk to Thor's grandmother (mom?) who has the
coolest scandahoovian accent. Prices kick butt on the 14, 14/15 and
14/17. The best price I've seen on the CX-Rays too (and about the
only place to get them in the US).

many shops sell generic spokes caws their cusotmers demand free work

You're mistaking _a_ good spoke for _the_ good spoke, a sort of
(il)logical leap.

Yeah. I went to a shop in my town that is among the better ones (which
isn' saying much) to get straight pull spokes once -- the guy on the
phone said they had them. So I walk in and ask for some in a certain
length and after a long, long time the guy comes out with bladed
spokes with a normal hooked head. So I explain to him what I mean
more carefully and he comprehends and says he may have them somewhere.
Took a long time for him to find them -- I only needed one but bought
four just in case, and he acted like he as doing me a favor.

I used icycles the next time I needed them.
