Don't know about deals, higly unlikely imo. The situation just presented itself, as Ullrich or
Pevenage already said. There was a rather tight turn a few 100 meters before the sprint, Ullrich and
Armstrong were following really close, there was some dodgy cornering and all but McEwen gave up.
Ullrich realized that, was looking around for half a second then accelerated hard and got second
fairly easy.

I imagine Cooke was more fried than asleep. Its not like he wouldn't have been keeping an eye

I saw Baden Cooke interviewed on TV, he was following his leadout man around the tight bend, he was
bumped, Cooke had to brake to avoid him and suddenly McEwen had a 50m lead with 250m to go. Cooke
said he ended up throwing 6 points away, and the Green Jersey with it.

He doesn't deserve the Green Jersey if he's got his whole team working for him and LANCE and JAN end
up beating him in a points sprint. lame.
