I have been doing similar searche on ebay lately too & have found a company called velo carbon, they are selling competitively priced bars, stems etc - does anybody know if they produce quality product?

at $160 for a set of flash looking bars - it seems nearly too good to be true. I would hate the things to snap on me on a big decent!!

any INDEPENDENT info would be great!

Just a thought... About a year ago, I got a used but unscratched set of Cinelli RAM bars, for $250 on ebay.

If you're thinking of paying $160 for an unknown, pay a bit more and get the best.

Yeah after a bit of consideration & looking a little more into these velo bars i think i will stick with the tried & tested brands.

Quite amusing though, i had a good look at the carbon bars on the Velo web site and the carbon bars on the token web site & they are identicle!!! so will be sterring clear of these mobs for sure. really backs up what they other guys were saying on the dodgy thread above about the carbon parts being made in second rate factories.

Also something that is sus about it all..... the velo web site states they were on holidays last week - hmmmm it was CHINESE NEW YEAR last week - what a coincedence

Looks like a guy named Andrew Boone is rolling on some Token products. If you click on next photo it even shows him winning.

Does anyone out there have experience with these products ? And if so, maybe snap a couple of pics of your ride with them.
I hear nothing but bad publicity about them. But being obviously tried and tested in the pictures, i'm a little interested in hearing personal accounts.

I think you need to separate the guy in that thread who was simply a US distributor for the parts (or affiliated in some similar way) and was indeed a [censored], and the actual parts. He reinvented himself and similarly tarnished the image of ROI bikes.

I've got a set of MonoQ bars and stem on a bike, I recently built. To date they have been perfectly fine. I've put a few thousand K's into them thus far, have done a lot of crits in them, and I can say that:

a) From an ergo point of view they are the most comfortable bars I've ever used, though to be fair they are the first carbon road bar I've had; and

b) They are quite stiff. Stiffer than the lightweight alloy bars they replaced in fact.

So thus far I'm happy. The only test that remains to be seen is durabilty over time. I've snapped two sets of carbon mtb bars in crashes, neither was catastrophic, just a partial failure. I'd be suprised if these went, that they'd be any different.

I got 2 of their BBs one ceramic and they seem fine. They're light too!

Yes, they are. They are OEM for several brands that are sold with Italian names.Same factory makes several big brand frames and parts.

Token carbon ceramic ISIS BBs are arguably the best. I've got token bars as well.

Token stuff is great. They just messed up with their initial USA distributor - token-usa. They used to sell their stuff directly on ebay 1 year ago, now token usa is gone thanks to you guys. No more cheap prices on Token, especially on ebay, since now Token stuff is sold by independent bike shops that jack up the prices on ebay now.

My strontium TI bb cost me $43 1 year ago, now it's like $90.

Oh please, that website sucked. Nothing was ever in stock, they never answered emails, it was easier to buy from Ebay.
I seriously doubt you ever bought a 'strontium' bottom bracket, ...better check your periodic table.

Jokes aside, Token stuff seems to be pretty good. I have also heard that they make stuff for a lot of European/US brands.
