5 exercise days this week π I think my lack of progress is associated with doing less cardio. So even though I missed a lifting day earlier in the week I've done a done a bit more cardio this week. I also managed to lift half my bodyweight on the bench press (100lbs) so I'm feeling great (if a little sore round the shoulders).
Weight is back to 200lbs too so last weeks surprise rise of 10 lbs is goneπ I have one more week before I go off on holiday for a fornight, but I think I'll concentrate on maintaining rather than losing because the stress and water weight is gonna cause the scale to go bonkers for a while. The good news is that there is a sizeable gym at the complex in India so I can keep up the exercise and learn some stuff about gym machines while I'm out there. It's a good excuse to relax afterwards and have a drink in the pool.
great news all around, have a nice trip, Lee ray miller <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...

Great going Ray. You are most likely building muscle, have you been keeping measurements? Highly recommend at least a waist measurement.

Hey, enjoy India. But it also sounds like you have a plan and that will go a long way to minimize any long term damage from vacation.
Again, enjoy

I have some measurements for the past few months and they agree, and I bought a body fat monitor (2.50 off ebay) which I've started using. BFMs are notoriously innacurate, but I reckon that I should be able to take a measurement every day, average over a week and watch the % drop over time. It says I'm currently about 27.3% which isn't very good (obese), but it's changes I'm interested in not absolutes.
u may not have lost but at least u haven't gained again it could be worse next time will be better just don''t give up ray

WOW Ray... great great... 5x and a loss of 10 pounds... AMAZING!
Not that great. I gained 10 pounds last week so it was all water I'm afraid. Over the two weeks I've lost absolutely nothing π
