Are you kidding ? Which model ? I have 806s, and 805s, and neither are very wide, and the 805 is a
bit narrow. I've tried the 831 and that felt quite narrow too. The Saucony grid trigon has the
widest toebox of any shoe I've tried.

No one brand makes all wide shoe. Right now, the Saucony Grid Omni and the Grid Shadow have a wide
roomy toe box. The Azura and the Spy do not. In other brands, the New Balance women's 765, Men's &
Women's 880, 1122, and 587 have wide toe boxes and then they come in widths. In Asics try the Gel
Cumulus V (not ther IV) in the wide width. There are others if you need more guidence.

As with everything, I think it depends a lot on the model rather than the manufacturer. It most
likely depends on the last used, and whether it comes in widths. Women's NB904 (now 905) had a
fairly wide toebox (=clunky) and has a SL2 last, but I noticed the men's has a SL1 last now (women's
still SL2, which is fairly wide). 904s don't have very good traction though.

Several models that my PT suggested for me last year have wider toe boxes than my Saucony Grid
Stabils, but not sure how they compare with Trigons. I think the GS3 is narrower than the 1 and 2,
and not sure what they did with the new GS MC. I had to go back to GS2 because the GS3 was too snuck

FWIW, someone (a PT that also sells shoes) on one of the RW forums was meeting with a Saucony rep
in early Sept and was soliciting comments on what characteristics we would like in an "ideal"
running shoe (not brand specific). Many people requested wider toeboxes and lower heels. Of course,
people with narrower toes that like high heels will complain if the manufacturers made all models
that way 😉

Right. I have run in 877s, 878s and so on for years. You can still get 878s and 879s from
www.roadrunnersports.com , but NB is now up to the 880, which is still made on the SL-2 (I think)
last, but which I have never tired. I just keep buying the older models to save $$. This shoe has a
very nice wide toebox. I love this shoe.

I'm running in NB 879's, which have a wider toe box than Saucony Grid Web, which I used to run in.
Remember also that you can get most shoes in different widths. I have to get my 879's in "D" width
(wide for women). The normal width 879's are not wide enough for my feet.

I've been told, and have experienced it myself that straight lasted shoes, like Saucony Stabil MC,
Brooks Beast, Addidas Cairo III, have large toe boxes by nature of the straight last.
