The blog is a fun read, especially when you begin to peruse the comments
that people have left. It is puzzling to see how upset people have gotten
over some of his comments.

On a similar note, I ate some "strange meat" today. I had fried waxworms,
mealworms, and grubs. I also ate several dishes made with ants and
grasshoppers. They were dishes served in a cafe at the annual bug festival
in these parts.

My favorite item was, by far, the fried grubs.

Deep fried pickle chips are delicious, especially dipped in Ranch.

Pats Place in New Braunfels serves them.

I've not tried making them at home yet. You can just get the jarred
pickle slices and use them.

ones with Agave Worms in the middle of them! I guess most people were as
grossed out as I was by them.
