I am an avid winter cyclst, I ride in weather down to -15C without any problems.
I recommend a thin polypropolyne liner, to wick moisture, then a wool/synthetic sock. I use the nike
socks, they are very comfortable, and relatively thin. I also use chemical toe warmers and wear
booties beneath winter cycling shoes. Its all about being warm!! especially toes.
