Winter tires...

sorry, no answer from me; I was chiming in to say I'll be watching this thread b/c I have the same question... my tires don't cut it in the bad weather.

Currently running Hutchinson Top Speed 700X23 on my roadbike and Continental SportContact 700X28 on my 'urban' ride.

I think the normal clincher CX tires start at 700x30. I did have some tubular cyclocross tires which were 700x25 equivalent ... so, that probably doesn't help.

I am told by cold weather friends that nothing but studs does anything for ice. If you are really going out in snow, perhaps you should consider them. Good luck.

Yek, if it was me in those weather conditions I know what tyres I'd be using....(wait for it)....bus tyres. As in the tyres on the bus that I would be riding in!!🙂

conti GP 4 seasons. You will never get a tyre that lasts longer.
