  1. My current weight: 153lbs
Weight change since my last recorded weight: -2.6 lbs
Total weight change to date: -79 lbs

Warmer weather must agree with me. Or maybe stripping 100
yrs of paint off of woodwork does. With this week's WI, I
    passed two mini-goals:
155 (10lbs to WW goal and 154 (my RAFL goal, 1 week late
<G>😉. My next mini-goal is 152, which will be both
80 lbs total lost and my 4th 10% target.

Last week I ended up eating out three times, practically a
    record for
me. By the end of last weekend, I'd used up most of my
flexpoints (29!) and had to be very careful the rest of
the week. With only 6 flexpoints left over on Monday, I
finished the week with 4.5 remaining. And I still got to
eat ice cream every night. Having abandoned any thoughts
of cooking for the duration of my construction project,
Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones are coming to the rescue.
Along with salads, Subway, fruits, Skinny Cow
sandwiches, and the kindness of friends.

I took a break from paint stripping and biked a couple of
evenings this week. I've begun to brave riding my bike on
the streets close to my house. I want to be very confident
about my steadiness before I venture into bike commuting and
    rush hour traffic.

For the first couple of months after starting my weight
loss effort last February, I'd set my weight loss goal at
157, believing that to be quite a stretch for me, but
doable. I told myself I'd be happy getting under 170. Now
here I am under my first goal, only 8 lbs from my WW goal,
and thinking that I where I really want to be is 130 or
less. Who is this person I've become, that at 50 I can
seriously entertain thoughts of weighing less than I did in
    high school?

It's the best day of my life!

  5. Wow you have done great. Inspite of having a different
routine ( with the renovating) you are sticking to your
plan, WELL DONE. The biking sounds sensible, you need to be
safe before venturing onto any roads with traffic. I can't
wait to read about you acheiving your next goal of 152. Keep
up the great work Michelle Ozzie in Switzerland

Warmer weather must agree with me. Or maybe stripping 100
yrs of paint off of woodwork does. With this week's WI, I
    passed two mini-goals:
155 (10lbs to WW goal and 154 (my RAFL goal, 1 week late
<G>😉. My next mini-goal is 152, which will be both
80 lbs total lost and my 4th 10% target.

Last week I ended up eating out three times, practically a
    record for
me. By the end of last weekend, I'd used up most of my
flexpoints (29!) and had to be very careful the rest
of the week. With only 6 flexpoints left over on
Monday, I finished the week with 4.5 remaining. And I
still got to eat ice cream every night. Having
abandoned any thoughts of cooking for the duration of
my construction project, Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones
are coming to the rescue. Along with salads, Subway,
fruits, Skinny Cow sandwiches, and the kindness of
    friends.

I took a break from paint stripping and biked a couple of
evenings this week. I've begun to brave riding my bike on
the streets close to my house. I want to be very confident
about my steadiness before I venture into bike commuting
    and rush hour traffic.

For the first couple of months after starting my weight
loss effort last February, I'd set my weight loss goal at
157, believing that to be quite a stretch for me, but
doable. I told myself I'd be happy getting under 170. Now
here I am under my first goal, only 8 lbs from my WW goal,
and thinking that I where I really want to be is 130 or
less. Who is this person I've become, that at 50 I can
seriously entertain thoughts of weighing less than I did
    in high school?

It's the best day of my life!

  15. Thanks Fred. You know how the scales love to play tricks, so

  17. Thanks Ray. You're right about the bike; I'm enjoying it
immensely. Still nowhere close to Fred's mileage but I'm
happy to be doing what I can.

My approach to paint stripping and painting is the same as
my approach to weight loss. A little bit every day adds up
to a lot eventually. Don't think too far ahead or the
project will overwhelm me. Just keep my focus on one surface
    at a time.

  20. Well, the scales seem to be favoring your quite nicely
lately but I have a feeling you may be taking an active part
in their ultimate readings. So keep it going. Even
yesterday, while hiking I looked down at the snow I was
kicking steps in and there was no intervening belly and I
was still somewhat pleasantly surprised. The end result has
    definitely been worth it.

Oh, nothing happened on the hike but I'm actually not fully
comfortable on very steep anything! And so there is that
fear/thrill aspect. And the last 400 feet or so I was pretty
darn pooped. Could have used another dose of food but also
just wanted to be at the top and resting.

Well, I recently decided to pass on my 40th. The scheduling
was untimely. My weight probably has not changed much since
then. Mine was adult onset, desk-induced obesity!!!! Altho,
I am more active now than I ever was back in school.
