I want to get a full-size frame pump (schraeder valve). After
exhaustive research I've settled on the Zefal HPX or the Blackburn FP-1.
The Topeak Road Morph is a distant third.
None of my local bike shops sell these pumps so I'll have to order it.
I need to mount it under the top tube on my road bike. And ideally I'd
like to buy a pump peg to hold it, but nobody seems to sell them
anymore. You know the kind that wraps around the tube and has a little
metal 'L' shape piece sticking out, not one like this:

The Blackburn FP-1 mounts with a velcro strap, which to me is pretty cheesy.
A Silca pump would be alright but they all seem to be made for presta
valves.
So the Zefal HPX is the winner. Lacking a pump peg I'll have to improvise.
The thing that's confusing me is the pump length. Seven different
websites use two different set of spec's. for the length, 3 websites for
one spec. and four for the other. Good grief! This is an important
measurement.
*Spec. 1*
HPX 1 17" - 18.5"
HPX 2 19" - 20.5"
HPX 3 21" - 23"
HPX 4 23.5" - 25.5"
*Spec. 2*
HPX 1 14" - 16.75"
HPX 2 16" - 18.5"
HPX 3 18.75"- 20.5"
HPX 4 20.5" - 22.75"
I don't know what to believe. Can anyone shed light on this matter?
Or if anyone has one of these pumps be so kind as to measure it?
Thanks for your help.
