You can measure performance this way. "UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the gate with your front wheel. "OVERSTEER" is when you hit the gate with your rear wheel. "POWER (Watts)" is how fast you hit the gate. "TORQUE" is how far you take the gate with you.

You should not go flat out at all.

You want to hit the bottom of the hill with all the speed you can muster. So 1 minute ( 1/4 mile maybe) to get up to speed. Just take the acceleration easy. You get extra points for getting up to max speed where the road turns up.

When you hit the bottom of the hill, you want to start tapering your power to the power you can hold for the duration of the hill. The goal is to save a lot for the end where you are struggling to keep your speed up.
