I think after half an hour acclimatizing, those east-coasters will eat us
for lunch.

Thanks, I was going to suggest that about the water as well. I got a bit
frea^H^H^H concerned about the water situation toward the end of last
year's ride.

:d What it ate, how long it took to get to you, and how many people were
involved make a big difference, doesn't it. :)

Re the trail:
I am happy doing anything as long as it's not so difficult that I'll spend
more time walking than riding. Last year's ride or some variation thereof
sounds like a great Plan B to me - I wouldn't mind going back over those
rocky sections again and see if I've improved any, plus the lunchtime swim
was fabu.

It's like listening to the anti-Volker: "You're going to kick our asses",
"No, you're going to kick *our* asses"

Classic stuff!

"I'm really feeling tired today."

"Didn't sleep well."

"Fighting a bug."

"Back's been really tight."

"Dead legs."

"Did a hard road ride yesterday."

"Been too busy to ride much lately."

"Diet's been horrible lately."

"I'm gonna be slow today."

"Need to lose 15 pounds."

"So out of shape."

"Just gonna cruise."
