Hi,

I'm new to biking and this will be my first road bike. I'm looking at the used market and came across these 2 bikes for $900. I really don't know anything at all about bikes. I just know higher end shimano parts are a good thing. Do bike parts get outdated? Would I be better off with lower end, newer parts (in the fuji) over higher end, older parts (in the bianchi)? Thanks in advance for the help.

2004 Bianchi San Lorenzo
- Full Dura Ace Components (Except for Ultegra brake calipers)

2009 Ruji Roubaix Pro
- Shimano 105/Ultegra Components

Depends on where you are, but i'd go the FUJI and go New. These bikes are going at good deals in goldcross stores in Vic and QLD. I just purchased a SST great bike and my second Fuji. I noticed that GC is doing Big price cuts on 2009 and 2010 bikes in Fuji. You may get a great NEW Roubaix or an ACR and still upgrade the groupset at a cheap price. good luck
