Doping whistleblower Jesus Manzano looks set for an audience
with the Pope after Amore e Vita team boss Ivano Fanini
announced on Tuesday afternoon the Spaniard had agreed to
join the Italian team. Fanini said a contract had been
agreed subject to "results and behaviour and with the
obligation of riding clean."

Fanini admitted the deal should be completed on Wednesday
morning, allowing Manzano the option of taking part Amore e
Vita’s annual audience with Pope John Paul II tomorrow
afternoon.

. . .Manzano has also agreed to live with some of his new
team-mates for a month, although he has made clear he will
soon be joined by his girlfriend, Marina.

Is Marina the girl he was caught shagging with at the
Tour of Spain?
