I finished my 45 mile tour in the Belgium Ardennes and returned to
Trois Ponts to wait for the train back to Liege....Thirst got the best
of me so I was "tricked" into slamming a few extra large Jupiler beers
while waiting. 2 hours and 6 beers later here comes the train. Now I
was keen enough to have my bike ticket and my return ticket handy.
After I loaded my bike and boarded the train the conductor stopped by
I checked my ticket. He ask me in broken English "Ver er you from?" I
told him Texas and he demanded ( in his best Texas accent) that I also
produce a ticket for my horse....He found this to be
hysterical....Maybe it was the beer that did it.. but a few minutes
later he had finished his duties and he returned and told me that my
horse could ride "gratis" and left laughing again....
