Have you ever wondered if theres such a thing as being too prepared when it comes to bikepacking? Im not talking about packing an extra change of clothes or an extra days worth of food, Im talking about the tools we carry to keep our bikes running smoothly.

Most of us have a multi-tool in our kit, and its usually packed with the basics like Allen wrenches, a screwdriver, and a chain tool. But with so many multi-tools on the market, all claiming to be the ultimate solution for bike repairs on the go, it can be hard to know whats truly essential and whats just taking up precious space in our packs.

So, lets start a conversation and challenge conventional wisdom: What do you consider to be the must-have tools in your bikepacking kit? Are there any items that youve found to be unnecessary or that youve never used, even in a pinch? Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you wished you had a specific tool, but didnt?

Im curious to hear your thoughts and experiences. Lets help each other lighten our loads while still being prepared for whatever the trails throw our way!

Of course you should carry what you might need like;
Spares for flats
Multi tool
the one or 2 allen keys your bike needs
A chain link
pump and some co2

Make sure your bike is in tip top condition before leaving.
