Please see the thread titled "Running at 86% of miximum heart rate without
    much effort."

  3. Run as fast as you can, push until your chest feels like its going to explode,
you feel like you're going to pass out, you're gasping for breah, as you fall
to the ground take your pulse and subtract one. If that's too much work take
your IQ, multiply it by your shoe size and divide by the number of feet you
    have.

  4. Theoretically you are absolutely right but I guess poeple would rather trust
some kind of monitor with well-designed algorithm, like yours, to determine
the maximum heart rate... Good luck if the accurancy applies to you.

Because then you'll be at the maximum (1 bpm more than that and your
    heart explodes).

It's like when Calvin (of "and Hobbes" fame) asked his dad how they
determine the maximum weight for a bridge. His dad said they drive
bigger and bigger trucks over the bridge until it collapses. Then they
weigh the second to last truck and rebuild the bridge.

In your case Bill I heartily recommend you try Anne's procedure but, instead
of subtracting 1, try adding 10 or so.

This, of course, assumes you have a heart.......

I have. But you mistakenly think I'm a mortal. Your mistake.

You misunderstand. I didn't ask what you looked like.

I think you have me confused with someone who actually gives a F*&K.

I think I've got his email address here somewhere......

LOL. If your signature is representative of your intellect your situated
somewhere between an amoeba and a retarded house plant.

If it's representative of your humanity, you don't register on the scale.

The fact you have to tell us all how stupid we are and how intelligent you
are speaks volumes, but I suspect you will only ever hear what you want to.
