  1. Sunday I started a new shoe 3 weeks before the marathon im running on
September 26th (Quad Cities Marathon , Moline, IL).

I was nearly 400 miles over on my other shoes, and was extremely
    concerned about hurting my feet.

    Ironic.

Well i tried a new pair, that apparently had different support behind
my ankle, and it cut my foot open badly on a 10 mile run sunday. My
ankle hurts terrible. It bled everywhere on the back of my shoe, and
yesterday it bled through my sock (i couldnt run.... 🙁 )

Does anyone please have any advice on how to heal it quickly?
Obviously im going to toss the new shoes 🙁 , i have my foot wrapped
lightly with gause so that nothing rubs against it ( i have to wear
dress shoes to work... they feel great on the open wound.)

Both sides are opened, but one foot is significantly worse.

Any advice is greatly appreciated from runners with previous
    experince! 🙁

Keep it dry. A *little* polysporin might be a good idea.

Send them to our friendly neighbourhood antidisestablishmentarianist (the
painter with the bike and back pack full of garbage).

Try Hush Puppies. They make very supple faux dress shoe.

What kind and size? Perhaps I, or someone from here will buy them.

9-11 forget it, it's over. Who cares? Nobody.

Sadly, they also mark you out as an ageing hippy.

Ah, but he has recombined his DNA and scrambled his address. Maybe he is a
    new man.

  6. Ah yes, you can tell a lot about a man by his shoes. But "how often do you
    look at a man's shoes?".

Sometimes I wear stripes with plaid. Moreover, I have almost as many shoes
as hats. Therefore I'm obviously too complex to be a dyed in the wool hippy.
    Besides, I'm not ageing.

    More meaningless platitudes to come?

  7. If you were genuinely concerned about hurting your hooves, you wouldn't
be jogging in the first place.

I only say this, because when my pecker does that, that's usually what it is.

    Wow,

    you lost me 🙂

Well i went out and bought neosporin, and im going to try and soak it
in Epson salt at night. Although my running has diminished to well
    zero..... 🙁

I guess ill just kill myself off lifting. 🙁

Im not going to "toss" the shoes into the garbage, ill just wear them
around town like the runner wanna-be's

    You goin' bald too?

Ah! False logic. The fact that you *think* you're too complex *proves*
    you're a hippy.

Me neither. I'm travelling backwards in time. Does wonders for my 5k
    pb...

Nothing but the very best for you, dear Surf

No, 'tis moi. I've decided to take another degree - this time in
Environmental Sciences - and it's taxing the old grey matter somewhat. My
visits will, during term time, be infrequent but amusing.

As long as you kill yourself, that's all that matters...
