limit but once you add cream and sugar you are weighing the entire
solution?

Here is an area where Andrew and I disagree but only in one respect. I deal
with a better educated crowd for the most part, his patients are mostly
blue collar. As the education level decreases, the simpler the better.
I no longer weigh my food, stopped after about 6 weeks. Works for me, might
not work for Joe the Yardman. The average adult client I have is college
level educated. His probably struggled to get out of high school.
I authored the term The Simple Two Pound Diet (mixed with An ounce Of
Common Sense). Andrew never took that phrase on and I agree, for him it
wouldn't work. It works for me and mine.
Point being, when I ate pasta, I did not weigh the water. I understood that
the watered pasta increased the volume of the food but I literally
understood that. I knew it was a modification but it was a modification I
was capable of accounting for. In the end, I went from 205ish to 155ish and
increased my overall, useable strength dramatically.
I don't think that my cardiologist was all too upset about this
modification either.
What's not so funny is that I got injured and a couple of operations were
necessary. My weight and strength dwindled to 144. When I came free of
travel and duty, I knew it was time to get back to eating (I was eating
about 1 pound per day and there were many days I never ate anything). When
the "exit tube" was highly dysfunctional, the desire to eat at all slides
downhill like a rock on a glacier.
Now I am up to 160ish and need to drop a few pounds, back to the gym
regularly. It will be gone by mid Jan if not before. I know what I have to
do and it comes very easily now.
