I still feel horrible about what I did (especially when it comes to
the guy involved) because everyone has called me names and
killfiles me and no one wants to get to know who I really am because
I have shown myself to be someone who I am not in person.

Just forget about him! It's been so long already! and I remember you
being pretty nasty to him in this group, or have you forgotten that
    already (?).

See, he is quoted so I see it.
I feel compelled to warn newbies about your asinine remarks.

Happy New Year! I know how you feel, girl. I have in the past said and
done things that I was soooooooooooooooo embarrassed about.

Worse even, I did something in a drunken stuppor around a very good friend
(or so I thought). This caused her to completely stop associating with me.
I honestly have no idea what happened and she refuses to discuss it with me.
I know it didn't involve sex or drugs or anything illegal...but short of
that I have NO idea. Talk about embarrassing!!!

Perhaps it was just the drinking she did not like to be around.
I was married to an alcoholic at one time and because of that I do not
like to be around people who drink too much too often.

    Quoted message said:

I just had to accept the consequences of my actions. I've also done some
things I wished I hadn't. But, what's done is done. I know how much it
would ease your mind if he would just say, "Jaime, I forgive you."...but the
truth is, you must forgive yourself and move on.

As for him ever telling me he has forgiven me, I know I will never in
my lifetime hear those words from him even if he has forgiven me.
He could not even tell me he thought I was a wonderful person to my
face when it was so easy to do so. Instead he told Carmen via emails
(someone he never even met in person) and I found it out via this
newsgroup. It makes me wonder what other nice things he might have
told others about me instead of telling me directly when he had every
opportunity to do so and I will never know about them. It would have
made a *world* of difference in our relationship if he could have been
more open towards me instead of telling others and not me. If he was
as comfortable in being with me as he said he was then he never should
have had an issue about letting me know these things but apparently he
    did.

I don't understand it and never will. :-/

    Quoted message said:

You are a good person, a mother....a friend to many.........focus on the
    positive.

I have been doing that. I *know* I am a nice person and a good person
but no matter what I was feeling and how hurt I was at the time and
how angry I was, I never should have treated him in such a manner.

I've never done that to anyone before in my life and it was
    inexcusable and just plain wrong.

It would be nice if he would believe my apologies were indeed sincere
but I it will probably never happen or if it does I will never know
    about it.

I'm sorry to go on and on about this so much but it really bothers me.
I *never* should have acted like that in this group and mainly towards
a person I deeply cared about. Someone I still care about.

I can move on but those actions will haunt me for life.

Kindly don't beat yourself up. You may get a call from her one day, when
she realizes that *everybody* has been stoopid some time in their lives.
Somehow, when you contemplate your own gaffes, it's so much easier to
    forgive others for theirs. :-)

Not that I ever made any. Oh, no. Not me. :-)

Do you ever get tire of fighting a losing battle? Everyone thinks your a
troll. If you weren't such an (add your own 3 or 4 letter word here),
people might actually listen to you. As it stands nothing you say can be
taken seriously. Your body might be in shape but your mind is in poor
health. Studies have shown your combative behavior may be caused by:

    physical discomfort
    over-stimulation
    unfamiliar or confusing surroundings
    complicated tasks
    frustrating interactions or communication problems
    Steroids

Maybe knowing the source of the problem will help you recover

One line, please. It's not *that* smart yet ;-) Oops... it is now.
    Two lines max now.

I added Y2K detection, but you should get in the habit of using all
four digits of the year. Also, the instructions do request
day-month-year, not month-day-year, although for days after the 12th
it can figure that out now too.

Yeah, it's not perfect. At least new posts will override old posts.

    Welcome!

DJ, will it get upset if I stay in kilos? Not that I'm sure I want to play,
    I've been stalled for ages : (

I just added kilo support. Do it like this:

    Quoted message said:

    95/79/72 monthly-goal: 2kg

All it does is replace "lbs" with "kg" in the display; there's nothing
that "knows" about lbs. Actually, you can put *any* text after the
"2" in the above, and that text will get used. Stones, grams,
    millitonnes, potatoes, small children, whatever.

After you post I might have to fix the reporting code if it doesn't do
what I expect. I've changed the job to hourly for now, so I'll have
    more chances to fix stuff.

  18. So you finally figured out I'm in great physical shape.

It took you quite a long time.

You'd better keep an eye on that program, if it fixed itself while you were
    typing. Sneaky things, programs.
