  1. Check out this story. I have also attached a link that talks about Bob's
    new book also:

This is a VERY interesting book. Bob just gave me a copy on Monday, but
I can tell that it will really wake some people up.

He's got a point there. Obviously, from there he can take off on a "Smoking
cigarettes is perfectly safe" campaign. I mean, there are smokers who are in
their 70's and 80's who have smoked for 40 - 60 years, so, obviously, the
idea that anyone could be harmed by them is ridiculous. Face it, once the
Pandora's box is opened, we can use the "70 year old people do it and have
done it for a long time" proof as a means to expose all the lies created and
perpetuated by science and the government - Driving is NOT dangerous,
overeating is OK, drinking is OK... the list is seemingly endless. :-)

You're looking at it wrong. Accept them as data and ask youself why don't
these folks suffer the ill effects that others do? Perhaps, in a smokey
environment, their decendants would have an advantage. !!! Might be worth
    knowing, eh? 😉

I was being a bit facetious in my response, but, I have thought along these
lines in a more serious manner. I start with the idea that it's obvious that
medical science seems to get things wrong on a regular basis. Some things
that they "know" seem to have too many exceptions to be right.

Smoking, as an example, is supposed to cause a number of health problems.
Yet, there are many examples of long term smokers who suffer none of them.
What I like best is hearing "My grandma died from smoking. She was 92." ...
people who are 92 stand a pretty good chance of dying no matter what they do
    or did.

Another example is Heart Attacks/Heart Health. If you eat the wrong food, it
will clog your arteries and you'll have a heart attack. Yet, people who eat
the "right" food often end up with very clogged arteries and die of heart
attacks. Likewise, some people with *awful* diets often live well into their
80's or 90's. People can have a number of tests and be declared in good
health, then drop dead days later.

I think, when it comes to the human body and health, we know a little bit,
but there is much much more where we really just don't have a clue.

That is true, but the fact that some people can tollerate drugs, smoking,
abuse etc, is not any kind of reflection as to the real danger of the afore
mentioned activities. Some people can eat Macdonalds and KFC etc. without
putting on weight. I know I sure can't and most people are in the same boat.
Are you going to use the people who don't get fat as a benchmark and
reconend that our elite athletes go on a diet of burgers and fries? I have
been hearing for years that "weed is safe" and "there are many people
holding down responsible positions while using dope" etc etc. But the
reallity is that I know more people who have used it with devastating
effects and become addicted to it.
The real question is what legitimate advantage is there to using mind
    altering or performance enhancing drugs.
Steroids give a user an unfair advantage in competion, (the main reason most
people would use them), dope is supposedly used for it's calming effect, but
this is negated by the mood swings associated with the drug.
I know people who become quite violent when they are "in need" of a joint.
The same people are fine after giving up the dope. Just because you can find
something that is not negative about something doesn't mean that its use is
    a positive.

There will always be outliers - what's important is which correlations
    are statistically significant. Duh.

Yeah!!!! They are passive as anything when they have smoked it and still
slow as well when they don't, but I find a lot of guys get very agro when
they haven't had a joint if they are heavy users. A bit like an alcoholic or
heavy smoker gets when they are hanging out.

  11. As I've stated in a previous thread, it seems to me that any danger in
most drugs is not inherent, but lies in misuse.

  12. Not unheard of. I had to fire a guy once becuase he became very paranoid and
violant. Turns out this happend we he got stoned.

That [censored] is pure evil. In my 20 y.o. pot smoking days I unwittingly smoked

Out of body stuff going through my head, I had to have a buddy come sit with

That and 'shrooms did in more of my friends than anything else; fortunately,
