I may have missed the thread on this subject, if there was one. Dinner last night came out great, from soup to nuts. Actually, it was from artichoke to cheesecake.
It seems I may have prepared a wee too much in the baked beans department. There's a bunch left over along with a whole slab of ribs. If I freeze the beans in some zip lock bags, will the texture or taste suffer? How long do you think they would last?

Thanks, Ginny
The texture will get a bit mushy but not so you'd notice much, and the flavor may only improve. They'd keep fine in the freezer for many months but with only a "wee" amount why bother, place in the fridge and someone will want them with scrambled eggs for breakfast.
So what about that slab of ribs... lunch today, eh?

I just pour 'em into plastic containers and toss them in the freezer. I haven't had any problems, but we've already established that I'm not within the normal range. <G>
Carol -- "Years ago my mother used to say to me... She'd say, 'In this world Elwood, you must be oh-so smart or oh-so pleasant.' Well, for years I was smart.... I recommend pleasant. You may quote me."

Ribs for lunch? Answer: YES! Ribs for dinner: Answer: YES! Ribs anytime? Answer: YOU BETCHA!
I may have exaggerated when I said a "wee bit". There are enough for at least 6 people to have a generous helping. ...Think I'll freeze 'em.
