We have sold a few and as an answer to the small bearing issues for
ISIS and Octalink, A GOOD solution. But as an 'answer' to the square
taper and bigger bearing balls of things like the Campag BB...it is
not. Square taper for Campag, anyway, is NOT flexy, heavy or prone to
breakage..Glad to see for at least another year, Campag is sticking
with this tried and truew method of hooking a crank to a BB spindle. In
fact, NEW BBs are coming down for Centaur and Veloce. Lighter, better.

As an aside. We have installed two Gossamer cranks per instuctions and
torque, and they came loose....hope we are not going to see future
problems with these.

Second aside, Campagnolo carbon compacts have come down in price to the
point of being competative with FSA with MUCH better BBs and rings.

I replaced a ISIS BB and cranks with the Race Face X-Type and
absolutley could not be happier.

I ride year round 2-3 times a week rain or shine and ride hard. Drops,
gaps, etc. I ride The Shore and Whistler on a regular basis. I have
not had to do anything with the BB or cranks in 6 months of riding and
things are still really tight.

I am not sure if you are wanting a road set or Mtn set, but I can tell
you without a doubt that the X-Type (External bearing system) works
very very well.

IRD has a cf crankset that uses Campy bb now too. It's not difficult
to improve on FSA chainrings. The Campy CT Record compact front
derailleur is a disgrace to the Campy line. Maybe it works properly
ONLY with Campy chainrings.
