Dear SBH:
Who threw a tantrum or whined? It's called a "prayer". OR Some call it
affirmation. Some call it chanting. Some call it a petition. But if you
don't believe in any higher power then I understand your desire to
criticise. I am not going to get into a war of words with you over it. There
have been enough wars since the beginning of time over spiritual beliefs.
I pray, ask, affirm, petition etc., for lots of things all the time. Prayer
doesn't require it to be this thing or that thing. There aren't any rules
about the size of the request or nature of the request except that it be
something to help and not hurt. Of course I suppose black majic or evil
voodoo would not apply that rule.
But it's a way of life with some people. Not whining, not a tantrum. And
this is a health related newsgroup and the heat wave was adversley affecting
the health of a lot of creatures including me. Ok?
Why did you pick Canada to move the heat wave to? Who's the object of that
request if I may ask?

| One day YOU will understand, Stacy, that the universe you live in, is
| not at all like the nice home you grew up in with mum and dad, and
| where WHINING and COMPLAINING is the key to getting whatever you want.
| Nature does not work that way. Instead, we live in a machine of
| physical laws, which don't respond to email petitions. You get your
| heat waves, you get your tsunamis, and occasionally you get your killer
| asteroids. That is the way the game is dealt. Throwing a tantrum to the
| Invisible Dealer isn't going to change a thing.
|
| Though personally, I wouldn't mind if the heat wave should remove
| itself to Canada for a month. If the universe responded to smugness
| with any kind of sense of irony, that WOULD happen. Of course, that's
| not the kind of universe we live in, either. Pity.
