I thought the advantage was with no holes in the rim, you can run tubeless
without having some sort of sealing system. Just like on a moto or car.
My old BMW GS moto had spokes that went through the outside of the rim
(outside were the tyre went), so tubeless tyres were fine.
I'll be tuning in to watch, anyway. ;^)
