What would be a good age for induction into the team? I say 45,
perhaps 40. Of course membership is *mandatory* upon reaching that
age, regardless of desire. {:-)

I don't know, age is really more of a state of mind, and too often I
feel much older than my 44 years.
Having said that, we have a local hero here who is a very strong rider,
both dirt and asphalt, and is 74 years young.
Many of the stronger XC riders in Durango are well over 40, and that is
saying something I think.

You know you're old when someone says how many "years young" you are.

80? maybe for the Geriatric Mountain Biking Team! Too many people
would die without becoming inducted.

I'm not saying because you're a member you're weak or anything, just
that you're OLD.

I just wanted to give myself another good 45 years of riding before
being inducted.

Perhaps you will discover, possibly after your second week or so of riding,
age is pretty unimportant in this sport.

I'm not saying that you're any less of a rider, I was thinking it would
just be a source of camaraderie amonst the "elder" mountain bikers.
They could have an annual get-together, make fun of the youngins etc.
Plus how embarassing would it be to get your ass kicked by "The Old
Fart Mountain Biking Team"?

Through a series of events, well out of my control, I own two of these
things now:

At least I can clean them up in the utility sink.

Subtle, when directed at that particular target.

You could still have years of good riding *after* being inducted, You
would just have to team up with your peers for all group competetions.
I guess you don't see it as a measure of respect?

Shouldn't you be out on your petrotoys, polluting and tearing up the
environment?

It's an obvious and blatant troll from an idiot who still can't figure
things out.
