I don't know, age is really more of a state of mind, and too often I
feel much older than my 44 years.
Having said that, we have a local hero here who is a very strong rider,
both dirt and asphalt, and is 74 years young.
Many of the stronger XC riders in Durango are well over 40, and that is
saying something I think.

I'm not saying that you're any less of a rider, I was thinking it would
just be a source of camaraderie amonst the "elder" mountain bikers.
They could have an annual get-together, make fun of the youngins etc.

Plus how embarassing would it be to get your ass kicked by "The Old
Fart Mountain Biking Team"?

would just have to team up with your peers for all group competetions.
