A work colleague brought his recently-purchased Trice XL into work today
and offered interested parties the chance of a ride round the car park.
I took it for a few laps and as I was coming back into the 'pits' he
said to me "the brakes are really good, keep the speed up and put them
on hard!". I did, but the left brake came on harder than the right and
suddenly my world tilted 45 degrees, rolled over, and I was pitched onto
the ground.
Luckily my waxed-cotton jacket took most of the force, but I managed to
graze my elbow. I'm sure one gets used to the risk of asymmetric braking
on a Trice, but isn't there a chance that this could happen in an
emergency stop?
BTW apart from the spill the Trice was great fun!
