  1. My trip to Nashville to ride Lock-4 fell through yesterday, as did a trip to B'Ham to ride Oak Mt..
today, I did get a few miles of single track in at stanky creek this afternoon ( It's like a little
taste of FOMBA right here in TN but not nearly enough miles)

I've nothing left to do but join a bunch of local roadies on a group night ride leaving the
    LBS @ 6:30.

Guess I gotta go shave my legs and get ready. Is a shaved scrotum _mandatory_ for a GRS night ride?
My razor is a bit dull and I's skeer'd of knick'n the boys.

I've spent most of my money on mountain biking and windsurfing. The rest I've just wasted.

Don't worry a bit. One of the paceline boys will be glad to perform the labor. Be careful though,
they'll eventually catch on to the fact that you're suffering from premature queerloss. (Anybody
else see that hilarious commercial on SNL?)

Well I'm happy to report I survived the pace line just fine. I found myself spinning out on occasion
but running a mountain triple up front, that was to be expected. Plus, folks was moooching off my
lights (nice to have a 25 Watt flood and 25 Watt spot on the bars eh ?-) Aye, the Beer'Cross and the
rider held it's own, and I think Mark may get a few new customers, they all thought the bottle
opener idea was "slick as all get-out".

WRT the shaving bit, I started at the ankles and started working up and well, I got a bit carried
away, the results are.. ummmm...... well, you decide for yourself :

Gaystrogen replacement therapy? I think I might already be suffering from queerloss!

Ouch!! That's not nice..... His legs could put a real dent in one of those things.

Got one in the basement - great for tree stump removal (small trees) and "persuading" wood to the
right shapes... You can tell I'm more

Yeah, heard they were 'effective'. They are supposedly excellent for rough sculpting.

I wish that surprised me. I thought better of John's talents. ;-P

It was in answer to a specific question - I was after a tool for rapid removal of wood bulk/rough
shaping (to hollow a 'bowl' shape in one end of a log and shape the outside, to make a djembe
(African drum) The methods I used in the end were far more laborious).

Not mandatory, but quite invigorating. I suggest you try it sometime.
