Spoke are always loosing!

Ok, I got my wheel built by Darren, from bedfordunicycles, and one week later my spokes were very loose, I went to a bike shop, he tightened the spokes and and unbend my wheel for a total cost of 15$...One week and a half later, my spokes were already comming loose, fortunatly a week later, while going riding, my friend had a spoke key and he tightened them, and 2 weeks later, (now) I got 3 or 4 spokes of loose. Do you know what's going on? Help me plz. P.S. Ok, I got my wheel built by Darren, from bedfordunicycles, and one week
later my spokes were very loose, I went to a bike shop, he tightened
the spokes and and unbend my wheel for a total cost of 15$...One week
and a half later, my spokes were already comming loose, fortunatly a

Do you know what's going on? Help me plz.
P.S. Darren used the same spoke there was on my old wheel.

well they could be laced wrong, but I'm doughting that. I would buy some
nice new DT champions.

you should not be reusing spokes. they stretch and never work the
same.
it kinda depends on your setup. for somepeople they are constantly
having to deal with spokes. some don't. you just got unlucky.

when I took my uni to a bike shop because of loose spokes, the guy put
locktite on all the spokes. I haven't had a problem since. Just a
thought.

are fully streched out they can't be relaced.
he is unlucky because his spokes don't stay tight. which happens for
some people.
another possibility is your spokes are stretching kinda fast. sooner
or later your spokes will stop stretching and stop coming loose.

You have to check and tighten some spokes before every ride. Then after
a while they just stay tight. I don't know why. Tap them with a butter
knife and tighten the ones that sound real flat just a bit. If you do
this before they all get messy loose, you should be able to re tighten
just the loose ones without the wheel trueness getting all out. Try
this, I bet after a while they will just stay tight for you. Tapping
your spokes once in a while is a good idea on any machine, can't hurt
!🙂

Darren was supposed to put some new spokes but he decided not to do it.
He said that it was only 25$ of more for me and it would work fine with
the old spokes.
A uni buddy of mine said lock tite was an idea.
And THEJDW, I can't buy DT champion spoke cause I only have 25$ left,
and they cost 25$! plus the wheel building is 20$ if I remember right
so... yeah🙁
EDIT: I'm going to e-mail Darren on that.

Just a tip that I give to all unicyclists (trials/street riders
especially):
1) Buy your own spoke key (sub $5US more often than not). Multi gauge
spoke keys are good if you have many wheels.
2) Learn how to tighten your own spokes.
3) Learn how to tension your wheels.
4) Learn how to true your own wheels.
5) Learn how to build your own wheels.
6) Stop paying the LBS for services you can diy:P

yeah when i first gor my uni i was haveing endless troubles with the
spokes comeing loose and then i would buckle it, but i do have a spoke
key so i would just re-true the wheel and tighten all spokes, i was
tightening a couple of times a week, whereas now like 4 or 5 months
later i am down to only needing to tension about once a month max...
just get a spoke tool and learn how to tighten your spokes and true
your wheel etc as mentioned.
DO NOT ask silly questions tho, the search feature will work well here
or just pm me to save the other people on here the hastle. i know i am
not the spoke guru but i know plenty and can build a wheel that is as
true as most wheels at the local bike shop, with even ish spoke
tensions.
so yer good luck, the spoke tool will save you lots of cash and hastle.

I unlaced my rim, then re-laced it with the same spokes. Worked fine.
I think I have been riding it that way for about 4-5 months, still
hasn't need to be re-trued.

EDIT: I'm going to e-mail Darren on that.
I concidered paying LBS to build my wheel. Then I decided not to. 5 and
a half hours later I had a well built wheel! 🙂

After I read about so many people bending their rims and KH saying it's
usually do to poor spoke maintenance I keep a close eye on them.
I find I need to tighten my spokes every other week. The spokes do
loosen, but not wobbly.
When my Nimbus X ALL of the spokes were, though evenly, VERY loose.
They all needed 3-4 full turns.
I need to learn to do a _really_ good truing job on the wheel. I'm not
good enough to stress the wheel like that yet, so I've got some time.

tolerance will round off the corners of the spoke nipple and leave you
