OK. Google is my friend. Herewith Peter Aitken's survey contribution -
    just as he wrote it...

    http://groups.google.com/group/rec.food.cooking/msg/c1795c104ec1e3f1?dmode=source

FWIW, I won't be contributing any more surveys to the site myself in
future. I am, of course, fully prepared to put up any surveys that
other RFC-ers wish to send in, but only if they are completely
    "written-up" - i.e. they must have a "Title", with a maximum of 5
questions per survey, and a maximum of 10 answers per question.

These surveys can be emailed to me at webmaster (at) recfoodcooking
    (dot) com.

    Thanks

I haven't been here very long, but that would seem to me to represent a
    loss. 🙁

OBFood: I have no idea what to make for dinner tonight - chicken or
beef? (We had sole last night) Any suggestions?

Well, grill it up, girlfriend! :~) Yummy. Pasta, potatoes, or rice and a
green veggie would accompany that nicely. (Along with a fine red wine,
    too.)

Your skin is much too thin for usenet if you are unable to sustain one
miserable puny punk who you don't even know... by you're own actions
here you've made him a winner and yourself a loser. And you shouldn't
be posting emails, just dump those worthless ones into the bimbo bin
*unacknowledged*. You also need lessons in how to ascertain which
posters can be trusted and which are _sneaky_ back stabbers. Your
reactive public display here (having a snit fit over a nobody) is
highly indicative of an extremely juvenile *hair trigger*
personality. You should have kept this issue private.

    Hi Cathy!
I'm sorry to hear that you are stopping devising the surveys!
You certainly provided some interesting questions and provoked
    extensive and mostly enjoyable discussions.

    Best of luck!

ROFL. There is nothing "private* about the r.f.c. surveys, or the posts
    about them....

BTW, all this talk about "snit fits" is a bit rich coming from you,
Sheldon. I have a long way to go before I can come even close to one of
your "diatribes". Now go have another BM with your breakfast and have a
    nice day. hehe

    Peter.
What do you mean by spicy? Spicy hot (with hot chiles)?
Or just spicy, meaning lots of spices (cinnamon, cloves,
    cardamom, etc.)?

Of course, I suspect you mean spicy hot because nowadays
that's what most people mean when they say spicy. Spicy
seems to have lost it's other meaning completely. Sigh.

Permitting one small [censored] to ruin something is a kick in the teeth
to all those many who have willingly participated and expressed
appreciation for a job well done. I'm stymied about how one
inconsequential [censored] can exert that much power to cause so drastic
a consquence for the vast majority.... has to be more to this,
leastways that's what I prefer to believe... Cathy has never
previously struck me as such a whiney wimp.

Just because I *personally* am not going to contribute any more surveys
is not the end of the world, now is it? There are (literally) thousands
of RFC-ers out there and I did say that I will continue to put up any
surveys that you, (or anybody else), would like to send in. I don't see
    a problem here.

You are right - red pepper spicy!

I don't like it too "hot". I do like LadyJane's Lamb and spinach curry
tho'. IMHO, it's pretty hot but you can still taste the other spices.
    Works well with chicken too.

The problem is that you thought to punish the many for the actions of
one... the fact that you then attempt to extricate yourself is what's
worrisome. If you truly believed there was no problem then you'd not
have ever mentioned one person's post, just do it without laying
blame. Now it seems to me that you just became bored, overwhelmed,
whatever but needed a scapegoat... I'm just happy twasn't me, this
    time.

Oh [censored]. Peter said that he had posted a survey on r.f.c., but that
I hadn't used it. I hadn't. However, the reason I didn't put it up was
because I felt (at the time) that everybody had already seen it. Anyway,
it was in January sometime, and people around here come and go, so I
Googled for it (because he didn't email it to me) and I put it up.

Hear, hear, Rosie. Gimme spicy, everytime. I prefer spicy cuisines
like Cajun/Creole, Thai, Indian, etc. Not that I can't enjoy a good
bland dish like fish or grits, but I, too, keep a bottle of Tobasco or
Sriracha in close proximity at all times and a jar of Creole seasoning
by the stove. Here's one. Look for a Mex hot sauce called Cholula.
For me, eggs are unfinished without it.
