  1. This afternoon, two lamb loin chops (they will be brushed lightly with olive
oil and seasoned with salt, pepper, crushed garlic and dried marjoram - I'm
not into the whole lamb/rosemary thing). Also will grill a combo of green
and white asparagus brushed with oil and seasoned with salt & pepper. A
simple meal (actually two or three for me), but very tasty and satisfying
    and with great leftovers!

    I'd call that breakfast.

You're so lazy in the mornin', I'm guessing. 😉

How do you divide two little loin chops between three meals? LOL
Heck, my husband can put away four or more loin chops at one sitting!
We had some really nice fat ones the other night, with couscous and a
tomato-cucumber salad with tomatoes we grew ourselves. It was a lovely,
    quick easy meal.

Sweet! I decided that my favorite food is no longer soup but is now meat on
a stick, so I'm doing some chicken and vegetable kabobs with a homemade
teriyaki sauce on the grill for lunch.

Great Idea!! I picked up what the supermarket called 'Lamb Sirloin Steaks'
this morning. Now I'm gonna season 'em the same & cook over some lump
    charcoal for dinner.

Probably stop on over to a local farm stand & pick up local fresh asparagus,
    too!!

    That sounds great!

It's good weather now to cook and eat outdoors. We did that last night,
nothing as fancy as lamb, but things taste so much better when cooked on
    the grill.

Perhaps I'll dunk it in soup, though. :-)

Loin chops aren't that little. Maybe you're thinking shoulder chops? I
    never buy those. Not economical.

Hehe, obviously you've never seen Jill suck all the juices from a
    bone. LOL

I don't eat lamb (Baaaaad), but I often find one loin pork chop
sufficient, although I'd want more than a few measly asparagus to
accompany (I can eat an entire pound of asparagus and not fill a tooth
cavity), asparagus is probably the least filling veggie there is,
right up there with mushrooms. I'd start with a good sized mixed
salad and besides the asparagus I'd need a starchy veggie; rice,
potato, probably a couple ears of corn when in season. I don't think
one small lamb chop with a few asparagus would be dinner for me... I'd
really want more than just that, and when I say a large salad I mean
like a two quart bowl overflowing, with like ten different salad
ingredients. I'm not big on bread with that kind of meal (starchy
veggie does it for me, and I'm not much of a dessert person but I
might have some plain fresh fruit).

We don't know him, we only know you... he could be 300 pounds...
probably eats an entire rotisseried lamb... and all you get is to suck
    his bone juices! LOL

Or encase the meat in a pie, then drop it in the soup.

No, I only buy rib and loin chops. They aren't *that* big. Those big
shoulder chops (which I know are cheaper but meant for braising I
    think?) aren't what I buy.
lamb rib chops are the tiniest ones, and loin the bigger of the small
    ones...right?

LOL...nooooooo... no where near 300 pounds. Not even near 250. In fact,
didn't I once send you a family picture? You would have seen him. And
yeah, he still can put down about 4 loin chops happily!

These chops are the size of a ribeye steak. (My grilling plans were

    yesterday afternoon.)
