Hold on there. You forgot about it removing any 4 characters
followed by a ":" from the beginning of a subject line.

OE Sucks. Not only do I hate, it, but I hate when other people
use it. It seems to be purposely designed to [censored] those who
don't use OE.

Why? It works perfectly for various purposes.

Other than that, OE seems to function just as well as any other
newsreader. The top posting workaround is to hit the Delete key on
the keyboard, then hit CTRL+End on the keyboard to move the cursor to
the very bottom of the post.

The signature issue workaround is not to use Autosignature, and to
just use the Insert | Signature function after typing the reply and
before hitting Send.

OE Quotefix will take care of that.

Some versions have trouble with handling posts that have the MIME type
"quoted-printable".

There have been numerous security holes identified in OE over the years
(related to Active-X I think), I have no idea what the status of these
(or even what they are specfically) is with any particular release.

readers. You have to go to a support group to learn it.

What "bother"? It was effortless to own, and its features work for me.
Thunderbird had feature issues which I found annoying. And, when I wanted to
know more about Agent's features a few years back, I found it impossible to
get information before installing.

OE works fine, and this computer's very well protected against being
compromised.
