#1, The Stand 🙂 Firestarter. Cujo - who doesn't love a big slobbery rabid dog? LOL Gerald's Game. Too many short stories to mention (The Mist among them).

I wasn't expecting The Stand to do so well as a tv movie, I think they did a great job with that, considering. Ditto Christine, I can't believe the movie was scary. To me.

I saw the miniseries a few days after I'd finished the novel. I was 14 at the time, and my dad's geeky cousin (who was the first person to tell me about usenet, and one of the first mac enthusiasts I ever knew) gave me a a copy of the "complete and uncut" version, on the stipulation that I was to give it to someone else to read when I was done. In my mind, Gary Sinise was a near-perfect Stu Redman.

My daughter is reading Pet Sematary right now 😉 It's funny because the electricity went out only in her room. She completely freaked.
Christine was excellent, both as a book and a movie. They're making a movie of From a Buick 8 now.
The Stand was likely one of the best mini-series ever I think. Laura San Giacomo was a very good choice for Nadine, I think...but I really loved Gary Sinise being Stu. Perfect casting, if you ask me.

I absolutely LOVE those books. I remember the eternal waiting for the next installment. I was just thinking I would read them again, from the beginning, now that I have all of them in one place. I love Roland.
I was going to say before, I love the way some characters and events weave their way through many of King's books and stories, making them seem connected and part of a grander scheme of things. Randall Flagg, who I did mention earlier is one such character, but there are many.
Did you read the Desperation/The Regulators books?
Also, I absolutely loved The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon.
