  1. A Visit to Dr. Chung's Office
    -----------------------------

Patient: Hello, I'm here to see Dr. Chung.

Recept : Please have a seat.

(later) Recept : Dr. Chung will see you now. (enters office)

Chung : Good Morning! How may I help you?

Patient: Good Morning, Doctor. I have been having a pain in my chest that comes and goes. I'm
frankly a little concerned that it might signal a heart problem.

Chung : Hmm. I see. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

Patient: (taken aback) Well, ah, that is kind of personal and I don't see how that has anything to
    do with my chest pains.

Chung : The untruthful often feign lack of understanding.

Patient: Now just a minute! Are you calling me a liar?

    Chung : I didn't say "liar".

Patient: Well you certainly implied it.

Chung : Is it your claim that you can see into my heart?

    Patient: Well, but, but, ...

Chung : Why do you hate Jesus Christ:

Patient: I don't hate Jesus Christ!!!

Chung : Truth is often painful to the untruthful.

Patient: Are you saying you think the pain in my chest could have something to do with religion?

Chung : I have the gift of Truth Discernment.

Patient: Please stop talking in riddles! I hate riddles! I'm just looking for some help here!

Chung : Why do you hate me?

Patient: I don't hate you!!! Your are twisting everything around!

Chung : Is it your claim that I am twisted? see

    http: //heartmdphd/libel.asp.

Patient: Look, I think this interview is concluded.

Chung : You have my pity. I will pray for you. Please pay at the front desk.

Recept : (on the intercom) Dr. Chung, a Mr. Mu is here to see you. He says you agreed to buy lunch.

Chung: The untruthful often try to get others to buy lunch.

  2. Hey Steve,

What's your problem? What are you busting Dr Chung's Chops for? He's a practicing Cardiologist. Why
are you throwing up his Christianity. All I've ever read is his medical opinions and most have
sounded logical. I don't know if Dr. Chung is a Born Again Christian. It doesn't matter. You seem to
know that he is and you don't seem to like it. What is it that Dr Chung has done to you to get your
cookies in an uproar? Even an Athist can respect another man's beliefs. I think your sarcasm was
    unwarranted.

In truth, my response would be:

Ok, please lay down here on the exam table while I do a quick EKG and check your vital signs. While
I am doing that, please tell me your story without sparing the details.

    Truth is powerful.

Hey, Thomas. How long have you been reading this group? Do you know how to use google groups? Try
doing a search on Chung and, say, the word "untruth" or "untruthful". I agree the scenario described
is wacko, but how would you describe this actual exchange:

Balsey: I have just come home from 3 weeks in hospital was waiting for results of angiogram... I
have had the new Texus stent in the left arterery which was 98% blocked... so that gives me 4 stents
. I am a little worried with all this what are your thoughts on so many stents , I thought you could
    only have 3 all up.

Chung: According to your Google history, you appear to have an anti-Christian bias. Is this true?
Even if you are anti-Christian, I would still be inclined to try to help you (sic!). However, the
quality of that help will depend on your being forthcoming with the pertinent issues in your
    condition.

I have snipped liberally for brevity, since the actual thread is quite long. Chung _did_ provide
advice, and the snipping is not intended to obscure that, but simply to illustrate the inappropriate
interjection of religion which is the point at issue (not to mention doing a 'background check' on
someone who asks a question here).

Thank you for your comments, Thomas.

"Steve" appears to possess an obsessive hatred for christians. He seems to not be able to get past
this. It does appear to be becoming a pathological obsession for him as has happened to Pastorio.

He (and Pastorio) remains in my prayers that God will cure them of their disease.

    Couple of truthful points:

    (1) Balsey is not and has not been a patient of mine. However, I would welcome the opportunity to
help Balsey in my capacity as a cardiologist helping a patient if it were the Lord's will.

    (2) My response as you have quoted is appropriate for Balsey's post which started with:

"Hi every body , please only answer if you can help all you others [ mahara chung] go away ..."

Please note the "chung] go away"

It is ironic that though your intent appears to be to mock, libel, and defame, you have achieved the
exact opposite. For this I am grateful to you, though I have more gratitude for my Lord who clearly
has had a hand in this. He is that powerful.

Now, c'mon Steve. In Hezekiah, 4:2-5 it says "Whosoever it shall befit thou doest unto the least of
me, thou wilt thy lettuce. And it shall come to pass, punt and kick thy hand will be used for but
one and thy feet for the others unto the fields of lilies and soccer."

That's as good an explanation as any why Chung would "appear" to confuse having people point and
laugh at him, with condemning christianity in general. In case you haven't noticed, whatever Chung
and sock "John" believe is all there is to christianity. Here's what they believe: Point out their
foibles and you point at all christians everywhere and all of christianity. And maybe everyone named
    "John." And all bathrooms.

For a patient who is having active chest pains, I would personally do the EKG rather than order it
and wait for it to be done. It is easy to check vitals as the EKG is being done and printed out.
What a doctor may potentially see on the EKG in this setting is as (if not more) important as the
    patient's vital signs.

You "appear" to be confusing pointing out and spoofing your hypocrisy with an attack on all

Attacks (including mockery) on a person for his/her acceptance of Christ as Lord and Savior, are
attacks on Christ. Attacks on Christ are attacks on all christians. But this is ok because Christ is
indestructible. Under His wing, we are also indestructible. There is no confusion here. There is
only the truth of pure logic.

    Truth is indestructible.

Perhaps you could cite where I have said something demonstrating that I have an "obsessive hatred
for christians" or, as you have claimed in other posts that I am "anti-christian".

Oh, wait a minute... you didn't say that... you said "appears". You sneaky devil you :-)

OK. Perhaps you could cite where I have said something that "appears" to demonstrate that I have
an "obsessive hatred for christians" or, as you have claimed in other posts that I am "anti-
    christian".

Why not start with the first post in the thread? Afterall, it is the one that Mr. Payne responded
to with the observation "...I don't know if Dr. Chung is a Born Again Christian. It doesn't
matter. You seem to know that he is and you don't seem to like it."

And this is your "proof" that I "appear to possess an obsessive hate for christians" ???

The referent of the ultimate "it" in Mr. Payne's post is the clause "Dr. Chung is a Born again
Christian"... that is "(You) don't seem to like that Dr. Chung is a Born again Christian". (Feel
free to jump in here, Mr. Payne if I am misinterpreting what you said).

Let's say, arguendo, that I don't like the fact that Dr. Chung is a Born Again Christian. By what
leap of Chung-logic does "not like that
Dr. Chung is" translate into an "obsessive hatred for" christians?

For the record, I don't care Jack if you are a Born Again Christian, a Born Again Muslim, a Born
Again Jew, or a Born Again Atheist. I just want you to park it in one of the alt.religion groups.

You "appear" to be confusing your own brand of "Christianity" with the real thing.

There is only one kind of christianity and this is defined by people accepting Jesus Christ as
    their Lord and Savior.

Well, I'm sure some of the other Christian sects will be happy to hear that. The Catholic church,
just to mention a tiny little fringe one, has a much more extensive definition... but I digress.

Attacks (including mockery) on a person for his/her acceptance of Christ as Lord and Savior, are
    attacks on Christ.

You still don't get it, do you? It's not your acceptance that is the issue here... it's you're
parading it around in inappropriate places and ways.

Sorry that this isn't a truthful statement from Chung. Jesus said what christianity is. Not the
    poseurs and preeners like Chung.

    Quoted message said:

Not really. But attacks on a person for fraudulent and sanctimonious parading of "faith" is mockery
of a person's character flaw; one that Jesus condemned. He said to pray in the closet away from the
eyes of men. Chung parades it around like a flashy new pair of fishnet stockings, stiletto heels and
    a bright red feather boa.

    Quoted message said:

Oh, Puhleeze. That's like when "John" said that pointing out that bathrooms are also called "Johns"
is demeaning to all people named "John." No one is attacking Jesus, only his false prophets and
fraudulent warriors who use Christ as a weapon. Like Chung and "John."

Hilarious. From Chung to his good buddy, Jesus. How sad to see Chung trivialize christianity. And
how sad to see he knows nothing of the real life of Jesus and when it happened. Makes his swaggering
    smugness even more poignant.

Methinks elementary logic is not one or your strong suits, Mr. MD-Phd.

The sincerity of your acceptance of Christ is what is at issue, not the validity of acceptance of
Christ that comes out of genuine faith. For that acceptance to be more than lip service or a sham
    one would need to

    1. Avoid insulting and threatening others.
    2. Refrain from endangering the health of others through bogus diet/medical advice.
    3. Avoid taking the Lord's name in vain constantly and over trivial matters.
    4. Avoid lying.

I did in the next sentence that disputed what Chung said about who defined Christianity. "Jesus said
    what christianity is."

He very stupidly said "There is only one kind of christianity and this is defined by people
accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior."

And yet, the only person I've seen promoting that Christ-Lite version of a complex religious body is
Chung and his obverse, "John." It seems, de facto, that there is more than one kind of christianity
beginning with the empty and abbreviated version Chung constantly embarrasses himself with. It
proceeds on up to theologically developed and intelligently explained philosophical and ethical
exposition as offered by more reflective writers as found in the major groups of christians
    worldwide.

Only wacko southern fundamentalist "christians" have such a shallow and simplistic understanding
of what Jesus offered. Only a lightweight unable to actually consider how difficult the
Christlike life truly is in a world of pressures and hardships would believe in as infantile a
vision of what the sermon on the mount means as Chung. He obviously dismisses Jesus' words and
    ignores the true meanings.

Only people too caught up in their own egotism could believe that striving to be Christlike is easy,
based on one small passage in a voluminous book, and demands no actions and restraints.

Chung thinks fully defines one of the great religions of the world, how sad is his shortness of
vision. How deeply he disrespects Jesus and his thoughts.
